«We are thrilled to have finalised the acquisition of Formagrafica – commented Claudio Rossi, CEO and majority shareholder of Faenza Group SpA together with his brother Danilo and sister Cinzia who manage other business related to the family – The addition of this company, specialised in H-UV printing, to the Group’s portfolio will enable us to offer greater expertise in the strategic high-end market which, over the next couple of years, is destined to grow in Italy and abroad in particular. We must continue to focus on international markets, where Made in Italy is still a highly attractive “brand” in our sector because it is synonymous with quality, professionalism and attention to detail».
Faenza Group SpA’s intent to increase its market share both at home and abroad is ongoing. This process began in 2010 with its first acquisition and now, as 2017 is coming to a close, it has decided to boost its growth even more by signing an agreement with Coptip Industrie Grafiche Soc. Coop. of Modena which, over the next couple of weeks, will lead to the 100% acquisition of Formagrafica, a company based in Carpi (MO) which is specialised in high-end printed products using H-UV technology.
Over the past couple of years, Faenza Group has concentrated on consolidating the 6 acquisitions made in the past 8 years (Plastigraf Faenza in 2010, Grafiche Damiani of Bologna and Grafiche Bazzi of Milan both in 2012, Intertisk of Lubiana, Slovenia and Altamedia web of Ravenna both in 2013, AGC Colombo of Milan in 2014) and with this latest business venture, made possible by a new injection of capital by the shareholders, aims to broaden its product range significantly in the high-end paper product and packaging sector which shows high growth potential.
Formagrafica was established when Coptip acquired and merged two existing companies which worked in the sheet-fed printing industry, becoming a benchmark in the quality H-UV market. In the past 18 months, the company has developed a series of solutions and exclusive finishes with exceptional added value, thanks to one of the most high-performance machines on the market, which is worth around 2.5 million Euro and can print up to 8 colours in line using H-UV technology.
Faenza Group, with 3 plants in Italy – which are open 24 hours a day, five days a week – and foreign offices in London and Paris, as well as more than 70 people working every day which are now joined by a staff of around 20 from Formagrafica, will be able to offer even more innovative communication solutions.
Faenza Group SpA is one of the leading providers in Italy of services and products for multi-channel communication (printing, publishing, packaging, cardboard, media communication). The Group, whose 2017 revenues are expected to be in the region of 15 million Euro, has around 100 employees and 3 production facilities, for a total of 10,000 m² covered surface area in Faenza (the Group’s headquarters since the Seventies when it was established), Milan and now Carpi.
